Scott answered God’s call to be on staff at Ninevah, desiring to help others form meaningful connections with fellow believers and, most importantly, with Jesus. Scott has been on staff since July 2020 and has been a dedicated member of the church since March 2014, alongside his wife, Heather. Together, they have two children, Brittney (Joseph) Franchino and Brandyn. They also cherish spending time with their two grandchildren, Magnolia and Nicholas.
As a graduate of Northern Kentucky University and a retired FAA air traffic controller with over 27 years of service, Scott brings a wealth of experience to his role as the Discipleship Minister. He oversees nearly 70 small groups at Ninevah, including Bible studies, Fellowship Groups, Wednesday night Roots studies, Life Groups, and Discipleship groups. Scott is also the Ministry Lead for the Celebrate Recovery ministry and manages both the Men's and Women's ministries.
Driven by a passion for teaching the Word of God and serving others, Scott frequently teaches small group classes during the Spring and Fall Roots semesters. He aims to foster lasting relationships among believers and encourage personal encounters with Jesus through various ministries and fellowship opportunities.
Scott's vision is to lead individuals away from sin and toward acknowledging Jesus as their Blessed Hope in this world and beyond. Having experienced healing through faith, he is committed to sharing this transformative journey with everyone he encounters. His goal is to glorify Jesus in every discipleship class, life group, recovery group, fellowship group, and Bible study offered at Ninevah. Recognizing the urgent need for spiritual growth opportunities, Scott is dedicated to strengthening the body of Christ during these challenging times as they await the return of Jesus.
In his personal life, Scott and Heather enjoy camping with the NCC RV Group and spending quality time with their Life Group.
