Formerly a vice president at Hitachi, Terry was called to ministry in 2000, when he answered the divine call to serve at Ninevah Christian Church in Lawrenceburg and fulfill the calling God placed on his life to be a watchman. He felt God’s leading to transition from a corporate career into pastoral work, driven by a strong conviction to prepare the church for the imminent return of Jesus Christ.
Terry is married to Janet Cooper. Together they have three children, Chad (Lauren) Cooper, Audrey (Junior) Pauleus, Michael (Hayley) Cooper, and eight grandchildren.
Vision and Mission
Terry’s vision for Ninevah Christian Church is to prepare a people for the wedding supper of the Lamb, preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all who will hear. His heart’s desire is to lead the church into a deeper encounter with God, helping people make peace with God through Jesus and fostering a community eager for His return. He envisions a church that remains steadfast in faith and ready for Christ’s return, with a strong emphasis on outreach, spiritual growth, and unity in the body of believers.
Terry’s 24 years of leadership at Ninevah Christian Church have been transformative, both for the church and for him personally. His pastoral leadership has fostered a welcoming environment where people can experience God’s love and grow in faith. Terry hopes to lead those who come to Ninevah with humility, grace, and a passion for discipleship.
